Hey just a little thing with the V1.

V1 specifically says not to mount their detectors in front of any window tint because it will fragment its single so you won't get as much range. Its hard to tell from that angle of the window tint affects it or not, but you might want to move it down regardless given my next reason. Also, with it mounted in that location I believe it’s cutting into the back portions of the cabin is it not? If so this is also going to reduce its range from behind too. I know that’s a nice stealth place to put it but I don't think it will work as well as it can there. I'd move it down below the rear-view mirror for optimal 360-degree range. Just trying to help you out to get V1 in an optimal location so it can search out radar/laser to the best of its ability.

Other than that looks sweet. I am planning on doing the same with my V1 once I get home for the summer. I plan on tapping it into the dome lights.

Lookin' good!

I didn't think the Valentine1 wa so small. I was going to mount it over the center speaker to strap it down with screws or tie straps but that pod looks good.

Which company did you get the double pod from? I know there are two different people making them.

RotaryFDTT, I actually don't have tint on the top of my window. It shouldn't interfere that much, if any with the affective range. I have used it before this right in front of the center channel speaker, so I will notice a decrease or increase in efficency fairly quickly. I have also read those warnings, I appriciate your concern Hopefully there is no decrease in efficency because I really like it there. For hardwireing it I actually ran the cable down the A-pillar and connected it that way. The valentine 1 comes with a hardwire kit which basically consists of a 6 foot phone cord and a little block that you plug it into that has a power and ground cable comeing out of it.

As for the gauges, they are 52mm. The pods are made by tripower, and I bought them from the Rx-7 store.

I didn't know the Valentine was so small either, the pictures in magazines made them look kind of bulky.

Sorry these pictures are so small, I had to size them down to be able to post them. Thats why they are all funky sizes. But here is Where I mounted the hard wire adaptor for the Valentine.

Another of the Valentine Hardwire install. You can see the block in the left corner of the screen, just follow the cables coming out of the bottom of it to see what I used for power/ground.
