Correcting Hyper Flashing

I just replaced the stock Turn Signal Bulbs in my 1993 RX-7 with Super Bright LEDs.

They're working but they Flash Extremely Rapidly.

I know the solution to this - Need to replace the Stock Relay with one that will correct the problem with LED Bulbs.

My question - Where is the Stock Turn Signal Relay Located?

I can turn on the hazard lights and trace the sound but if you can tell me the location I'd appreciate it.

It is in cpu #2 behind the drivers side kick panel. You need to change the r1 resistor.

You can also wire a load resistor in parallel with the bulb.

Read my thread on how to do it -

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...ht-way-943516/

Wiring in resistors is a foolish way to do LED's. Modding the flasher relay is the right way, and it's cheaper and easier too.

Thanks Dale, I was reading your post yesterday. Before posting here. I just wanted to know if there was another method. I dont have all the soldering stuff. It's very nicely written though.

I completed dale's write up when i went LED's all around. Works perfect. Hardest part is contorting up under the dash simple 2 minute desolder/resolder

I wonder if just clipping the resistor will have the same effect as installing a 1-megaohm resistor there, since it will make it seem like an "open circuit."
