Coolant temp gauge beeps and says add coolant when full

So My rad is full and I have warmed up/cycled the car, but my stock coolant gauge doesn't stop beeping and the add coolant light is on.

FYI I have an aftermarket gauge and it seems to work.

Sensor ? if so where is it located?

Thanks

It's directly below your coolant fill cap. Black piece of plastic with a wire coming from it
