coolant and oil reccomendations?

Hello,

I just got my FD this week, and was (trying to) check all of the fluids.

Can someone tell me on the radiator fluid, what the solution mix should be?

I also have a koyo radiator, and a little plastic port that sticks out under the right front driving light for adding the fluid. It has a little dipstick in it to check fluid. Is that checked hot or cold?

alos is this dipstick accurate for checking radiatior fluid or is their another way to do it?

Secondly, what motor oil weight do I use for the oil change. From reaserching other posts and using the search function, I came up with 20 50 synthetic, or dino. Is this correct?

Thanks for the help guys.

David

The dipstick you're talking about is for the radiator overflow tank. While the overflow tank is technically supposed to replenish any coolant lost when the engine cools down, the dipstick really will only tell you the level for the overflow tank. It's best to check the coolant fill tower cap just to the right of the airpump.

Use either 20W-50 or 10W-30 or 40 synthetic oil in the engine.

If I can find it locally. I will go with the Royal Purple 20/50.
