Coolant light on at running temp - searched

I searched, found nothing.

My coolant warning comes on when I hit running temp for about 10 seconds, then shuts off almost every time I drive my car. My tank is full and Ive toped it off many times. Anyone know why?

Im going to change my Thermostat and coolant sensors weds. think that could solve my problem?

Thanks

Hank

might have a leak... if you keep having to top it off, you have a leak somewhere, after you turn off your car, listen for pops, crackles, hissing..

Question

When you open the filler neck to top it off, is the coolant up near the top or is it empty?

could have a small leak. That coolant level sensor is very sensitive. If it goes a little low then it will sound.

Whats happening probably, is you start your car, some air gets pumped up, displaces the coolant, ur sensor sounds, then the car warms up, the coolant expands, and silences the sensor.

Get the system pressure tested. I had a similar problem to yours and bought a mityvac with the universal adapter (a must have piece of equipment) and was able to determine that there was a small leak in the system. I repaired the leak and now I have a full fill tube every time.
