Question Coolant Leak?

Okay, got my new oil pan gasket on the car today, got car back from dealership. Drove home, let it idle in garage for cooldown, shut if off, went inside. When I came back out, I'ld say probably about 20 or 30 oz. of coolant on the ground. Tracing where it ran onto the ground from, it dripped out of little holes in the guard under the overflow tank. My guess is that there's a leak in the hose going from the overflow tank to radiator, and on engine cooldown when it tries to suck coolant from the overflow tank, it leaks onto ground. What all should I check? And what's the easiest way to get to that tank and the hoses that come from it?

Had the same problem on my 93 Rex after an engine rebuilt. I'm by no means a master tech but the cause on mine was a bad pressure cap.

I replaced both of them just to be sure, the thermostat one and the AST. Haven't had a problem since. Peace!

How much you pay, and where you get them? It's always worth a shot.

THe thermostat cap is a Greddy for about 20 bucks i got from Rotary Performance in Texas and the AST cap I got at Auto Zone (it's a Petitt AST). Hope this helps you out. Easier for me, I live 30 mins away from Rotary Performance.

I still have the OEM AST and engine cap (obviously). Wonder how much the dealer would charge.

Cool

I think you're better off buying aftermarket. Probably cheaper and just as good quality.
