coolant leak
my car seems to be leaking coolant. the car runs fine and the coolant warning light or any engine warning light has never come on. any suggestions?
my only mod is a downpipe and the motor has 55K miles on it.

Leaking coolant how? Where? I'm guessing that you are just noticing that the level is lower at times?
Possibly that you need to burp the system more and air is slowly going out showing that the coolant is getting lower.
Add coolant as you burp the system keeping a close eye on it.
Check for leaks with pressure tester. Sometimes tiny holes don't show up unless under pressure.
Hopefully, your engine isn't eating the coolant from a bad O-ring.

Gently squeeze the upper radiator hose where it enters the water pump with the water pump housing cap off. You should see air come up.
Another tip is to disconnect the TB coolant line (nearest the driver at the top rear of the intake assy) as you're filling so the air can escape from there. Rumor is having the front jacked up with this hose off reduces the need for burping when you refill coolant.

warm up the engine, not too hot! let cool.
squeeze the hose coming from the filler neck to the radiator, pump it a few times.
Slowly open the filler neck (CAREFUL!) releasing any air that may have moved through the system. Open your AST too.
Refill, repeat

Note that the picture makes it appear the hose connects into the intercooler crossover pipe. It doesn't - the radiator hose is below/behind the crossover pipe.
