coolant hose between hardline and heater core orientation

I am installing the metal coolant hardline that routes along the passenger side shock tower. This hardline connects to a hose which terminates on the lower barb of the heater core at the firewall. It appears that the hose is almost symmetrical however I want to place it in the original position from the factory. The hose has a white dot on one end and a reddish dot on the other. I am hoping someone can verify which dot (end) is located nearest the firewall.

interesting note

however, judging from looking at it on my countertop; it appears the white dot can be up either on the firewall side or facing up on the hardline side

wonder if someone with a single turbo setup can take a look at theirs

I just did my heater hoses,

On the other end of that pipe is the hose going to the engine coolant inlet. The red dot on that hose goes to the coolant pipe. It stands to reason the red dot on the shorter firewall hose should also go there.

When I did mine I didn't pay that much attention to the dots, everything together and you can hardly see it anyways.

Thanks Jesturr. I am still hoping someone can visually confirm the other hose.

Heck, I'm kind of making a mountain out of a mole hill.
