Cool Japanese website
Since the forum was down the last couple of days and I was going in to convulsions with my daily fix of just SOMETHING relating to the FD, I came across this pretty cool Japanese website. It shows many DIY projects that just require tools and labor, no parts. If you take the time to look through most of the links, I think you'll realize just how more technical they are than us.
Here is the first page, just click on each link:
http://13b.power.ne.jp/main_contents/tune/index.html
And here is their homepage:

hehehe, I mentioned that it was a Japanese site but I guess I should have also mentioned that there is no English, it's all just pics for us Americans. Anyhow, there are many cool items. For example, it shows one mod where they cut out the sheetmetal just behind the oil coolers (just in front of the front tires). The stock system is that the air flows through the oil cooler, up and around the tire, and out the vents on the side of the fender. By having the air exit directly behind the oil cooler, I'm sure the air flow must be greater due to the shorter path and lower resistance. In any case, it's definitely all pics and requires some logic to figure out what they doing.

hold up, I spoke too soon. Although it converts everything to English words, a lot of the sentences don't make any sense. But at least if gives more info than just looking at Japanese symbols.

yeah the translated sentences don't always make perfect sense but usually you can figure it out and reading english in bad grammar is better than trying to read japanese..

Blow up or win
Great website! I love the stuff they are doing including LOTS of Ghetto mods I've never seen or thought of before. It's nuts trying to figure out what they are saying with the translator engaged!
Now I finally (I think) understand why the extra grounding straps work so well..........
