control unit identification

Hey guys just wondering if anyone knows where this module is for or where it goes. The numbers on it are

Control unit
N3d8 18 701
5k01a
Naldec 10707 40

Was found on the pass floor board on the carpet. Don't know what its for. Small black box with 16 pins.

Sounds like the timer box for the fan tsb. Its supposed to bolt to the ecu bracket but a lot of people neglect to put it back.

O. I have a apexi power fc. So do I need to find out where to plug it in or can I just ignore.it? I read the thread about cooling , didn't finish the whole thing yet. I need to do the cooling mods.

There should be a black connector there for it. You don't have to have it, but it does allow the fans to fun for 10 minutes after shut down under certain conditions. It can also be run to a switch to ground it and turn the fans on.

Why does everybody else get to have fun fans and not me..
