Connector Identification?

My brother has been able to track down damn near everything at this point using the FSM and wiring diagram, but we are not positive about 2 connecters.
looking for some insight as to what they are. Thanks.

The first connecter you can see is located at the front bumper. This one is a single black wire by the alternator.

The first one looks like it may go to the hood latch. Though for some reason I thought it was orange on the inside. Could also be for the fog light harness. Also, move that ground back to the core support and make sure you have good contact. The 2nd one looks like it should go between the engine harness and alternator/starter/battery harness. If it is uplugged your coolant buzzer will sound. The other end should be somewhere under the power steering pump.

Giving the color codes of each wire to the connector will help pinpoint them 100%

I think the first plug pictured is going to be for the fog lights.

First one looks like the fog lights, and the second looks like (if its coming from the passenger side harness) the oil pressure sensor on the block. If its coming from the main ecu harness, maybe its the knock sensor wire.

Definitely not the knock sensor connector. The oil pressure sensor connector won't reach that far.

I'm pretty sure you're right Ihor, I think it's the coolant plug. I was just checking out your website and was looking at Rich's pics. I was wondering, is the therm housing connected to the bottom of the radiator? I did the AST delete and used 3/8 heavy fuel line on both and plugged each end instead of connecting them together. Sorry, it's not really related but just wanted to pic your brain real quick. Is what I did ok?

What do you mean by therm housing? I don't like to plug coolant hoses. They always tend to blow off eventually or leak. Loop the nipple from the bottom of the radiator to the nipple on the thermostat cover. That or cut them both off and have them welded shut. But to answer your question, yes it will work. The ast and the extra nipple on the radiator is pointless in my opinion.

My brother didn't want to use vac caps cause he said they would blow off or leak also. I'll look into getting them welded since I'll never use an AST. Thanks for the input.

94TouringFD,
If I understand what your talking about, I simply cut the nipples off, used an NPT tap from a friend and put an NPT plug in them.

I like the way you think Sgtblue. My brother already got the NPT tap and does have some of the plugs at work he could get for us to use. I'll probably be giving this a try. Thanks.

No apologies needed, as you can see from the picture I also need to figure out where the other end is, lol. If I get a chance to figure it out before someone else posts it I'll let you know, and if you get it just reply here.

The other end is on the engine harness. It should be somewhere behind the alternator near the knock sensor connector.

He wasn't telling you to use vacuum caps as they are very failure prone in that application. Your brother is a smart guy

He was telling you to run a coolant line from the t-stat nipple to the bottom of the rad.

I have the same problem like you, guys, the coolant buzzer is going on after a few seconds because i also have that connectore lose. But i have to go more into details, i have a few broken cables down there, could someone tell us the cable colour to connect to the "buzzer-connector"??

@badddrx7
Do you have a source to get more information about cable colours, i mean which cable belongs to another one?

See I'm a little confused cause I keep reading, I think, that the coolant level sensor is the black plug. I have the coolant level sensor plugged in and it's the white one. I'm not too sure what this black plug is for nor where it could possibly plug in. My brother said he's pretty sure the whole A/C system is plugged in. We've used the wiring diagram from the FSM to verify the connectors as we put it back together. Hopefully we'll get it started today and see if anything seems to be unplugged.

The correct plugs are the black ones for the coolant level sensor. One has a brown wire with white stripes, the other black plug has the black cable.

On my FD, a lot of plugs are missing, so i can tell you only something about the colour of the wire. A master of car electrician ( dont know how its named in english ^^ ) told me that the black cable with red stripes belongs to the relais for the AC.
I hope i can jump to my garage tomorrow after work, if not, im there on tuesday. Maybe i could tell you then which wire goes to the other one...

Andi

Well I just happened to notice the other end to get it plugged in and all is well now. Oh, and by the way IT STARTS, and RUNS! Sorry for yelling I'm just excited cause I've owned this car for 2 years and have never heard it run or driven it.
