I have this policy when it comes to wifes/girlfriends and carmeetings...
This is:
"Yes, i would love to have you tag along, take part in the fun and understand my passion for cars....BUT... You do have to understand, that this weekend, you will not be my main priority. You knew when you got together with me, that i am a car fanatic and love everything about cars. THIS... is my weekend off with the guys, where we will drink beer, watch awesome cars and look at fine women and just be guys! I will not be disrespectful to you in any way and you know i just "talk the talk" when it comes to looking at women. As long as you act independent and dont start to hang on my arm and go "honey, cant we go do something else" after a few hours, i have no problems having you there."

but going to a rx7 meet because u wanna see girls... Is like going to a gay bar cause you like the music.
Quick question, how many people on the forums bring wives? It may be a great way to convince her to go on another road trip in the 7. The last one had us stuck in traffic, 25 cars back from a semi truck fire/fatality, 5 hours later we moved, and I kept the car on the whole time, ran like a top there and back (had to back down from a race involving an sti because the car was loaded and she was with me, and I'm uber safe when she's along). Every morning I let it idle for ~4 minutes before I drive and take it very easy on the car until I see coolant get to 85 or so then I
drive as normal. That drive to 85 degrees takes all of 3 minutes which it takes to get out of my neighborhood. And my normal isn't much more than 65 lol. I see people on here saying they wot every day, I'm beginning to think I need to more often than once a week. I've been reading and have seen a bottle of marvel mystery oil a month can be a great addition, I'm beginning to think I should use that too. Right now she sips on 93 octance shell every time.

I took mine last year....
One year i went with my best friend and the second I went with my lady. Two very different yet enjoyable experiences. I know its a car event.. But Its a really relaxing and beautiful part of NC. With that said you can rent a nice cabin (as i did last year) for you and the lady. It was awesome... hot tub.... grill.... home cooked breakfast.

Im not used to club/brand meetings as the car community in our small country (4,8 mill inhabitants in a looong country full of mountains and fjords) is so little, so we have to make it general car meetings

Given you’ve only put 25 miles in a year, it seems you’re ready to move on. I had a 1994 turbo Supra that I just lost interest in. There was nothing wrong with the car, I just lost interest. It was a tough decision, but I ended up selling it earlier this year. I grew up dreaming of owning an FD and MKIV, but ironically I do not regret letting the latter go.
