Comfortable Suspension secrets for GC Coil Over w/Koni Yellow

After many a set of Eibach springs, I believe I have got it:

FRONT-400 lbs per inch 8 inches free length ;
REAR - 250 lbs. per inch 10 inches free length;

Full soft on front, 1/4 turn rear.

I tried 550 Front 6inchers 450 rear 7 incher. Too harsh.

Tried 450 front with 7 incher and 300 rear 8 incher. Still too harsh as it seems like I'm not getting full front suspension travel. Plus the rear bottoms out.

Tried 350 front 10 incher and 250 rear 10 incher. Way too soft and the front is sitting way too high.

I have 2 springs 550 lbs 6 incher if anyone wants it for cheap.

I'm thinking about doing something like that, thanks for the info poman. I already have the Koni's, and I think either my upper mounts or springs are sagging a bit because I rub the fenderwell in the front if I ever bottom out (stock springs, Koni perches set at high). No problems with spring binding? How is the ride height adjustablility?

what is the spring rates on the eibach prokits? i dont have the coilover conversion yet but am curious how my suspension would feel if i went with the conversion and ran similar sprign rates as you mentioned. Isnt my current setup of koni yellows with eibach prokits almost identical to your setup ? is there any benfit to convert my konis to coilovers if the spring rate is close to what you have?

The original 550 front /450 rear felt great at summit point. But if you don't do track days every other weekend, it sucks in the streets of D.C.

I think with the new 400/250 spring rates, I have about 80% of the original set up but more livable. It's still harsher than an R1 set up because there is no rubber mount on the top where the spring meets the body.

The eibach pro spring and Koni are a great set up. I was suckered into thinking that a coil over kit is better for street and once in a blue moon track days. It ain't.

The koni spring perch is at the lowest setting. I need to raise the ride height another 0.5 inch though.

The front fenders have been rolled. Prior to rolled fenders, I was fragging the fender.

No spring binding yet.

Even with the coil overs on soft settings? A friend of mine has TEIN the 2nd cheapest type on his car and on medium it doesnt feel to bad. Its a WRX if thats makes a difference.

The length of the spring contributes absolutely nothing except ride height to the car. The only exception is if the spring is too long for the application and so it ends up heavily preloaded when installed at rest. This would make the rate feel higher than what you expect.
