By the way I bent the cresent wrench by heating it with common propane torch till it turned red hot. I used two vice grips and bent it. Make sure you don't make the bend to short or you will no be able to get the wrench arount the nut.

theres another electrical plug for something in the picture you posted can someone tell me what that part is and what its function is. I just removed my manifold and the plug that plugs into it may be damaged and my car won't turn over could there be a connection?

how hard is it to remove the manifold to replace the intake temp. sensor???

I want to do it myself, but i don't have that kind of wrench....

Its not hard to remove the UIM. It's good to check and see if any vacuum hose are cracked (or disintegrated =(
Takes seconds to replace the thermosensor. But it was a bitch to put back on all those pesky short hoses!
Plus cracking off a few solenoids was so much fun....

High reving at startup can sometimes be associated with a loose vacuum hose or the AWS. - There's never a definite answer.

Rough idle can be associated with faulty or corroded soder connections in your harness. Try re-grounding and having your wireharness inspected. Any interference in the harness can send mixed signals to the ecu causing a rough idle. My two lincolns.

I just got the same diagnosis. I took it in after the car started to bog down and backfire constantly even though I was in the gas trying to make the car go. This only happens on hot days or after being in slow *** traffic with hot exhaust blowing into my car.

Fail. This thread is 9 years old.

The sensor is prone to being heat soaked. It is also slow in reacting to the actual intake air temp. Get in touch with dudemaaaanownsanrx7 and get a fast reacting one with a plug and play harness.

AFAIK....no one has those Triumph (fast reacting) ones in stock. Just get OEM....youll be fine.
