Clutch Switch bypass reversal
Alright FD gurus, I have a couple of questions for you folks.
- Do RHD FDs need to have the clutch pressed from factory to start?
- Do they come with a clutch position switch from factory?

There are 2 clutch switches in US cars. One is for the cruise control and ECU to report the clutch pedal position, the other is in-line with the power wire to the starter so you can't start the car without the clutch pedal down.
One of the switches (I believe it's the ECU/CC switch) is also the stop for the clutch pedal and adjustment.
I've heard that JDM cars don't have it but I'm not entirely sure. Hopefully someone with a JDM RHD car will chime in.

JDM Cars didn't get the clutch switch for the starter until 99, IIRC. My 92 only has the position switch for the ECU. One of those things that was mandated early on in the states but guessing Japan did not until later.

and later we found out that the owners were pressing on the wrong pedals....
in reality Audi would have almost gone out of business anyways, getting a window to roll up in one of those cars was a miracle....
