clutch switch broken

I have a 1984 GSL-SE and when I was adjusting the clutch height I broke the wires off the switch, I am having no luck with finding one and am trying to figure out which wire connects where and then I will just solder it on myself. If anyone has a clue please help..thank you

that's probably the switch that doesn't allow it to start without pushing in the clutch first, u know, that safety feature that comes on manual shift cars.

1st gens don't have a safety switch like that. The clutch switch is for cruise and emission control. Wire colors don't matter. It's just an inline switch. Check the classified section. I'm sure someone has a used one.

The clutch/starter safety interlock wasn't used until the 87 models. If you don't use your cruise control or aren't concerned about emissions, ignore it. Otherwise I probably have one if you need it.

I don't use cruise but I live in California, so specifically what emission issue does that switch create by not being in the car and if the wires coming from the plug to the outside of the switch it should be easy enough to repair..?
