Exclamation clutch release fork

hi guys,

just in the middle of piecing my fd back together and after fitting new plates to my hks gd pro clutch and new clutch release bearing, i've come to a halt... my clutch release fork when i try push it from the hole in the gearbox there's zero movement in it....

just need some advice... do i carry on with the reassembly or take it all out again??

You would have to push pretty damn hard on the fork to get it to move. Put the slave cylinder back on. The tricky part is making sure that it lines up wit the fork right. Have someone press the pedal while you look through the window on the bottom. If it works right, continue on.

Also, when you're watching to see that the slave cylinder piston hits the pocket on the clutch fork, look to see that the wedge collar/ring is indeed locked securely to the pressure plate. The collar will withdraw about 1/4", but that should be all.

Thanks for your replies guys!!!

I got into the depts of depression when i felt how rock hard it was and convinced myself something had gone wrong...

Cheers for the heads up about the lining up of the cylinder!!
And afaik the collar is well locked in! but will keep an eye on that tomorrow when fitting cylinder!!

I'll be going at it in the morning tomorrow to get the job finished!!

So finges crossed it's all good now!!!
