Clutch opinions and experience

Okay so its about that time that i get a new clutch. Ive driven stock flywheel sprung 6 puck fds before and had no problems with them at all. In fact i liked it. I got a single turbo cafr that when finished should be in the 450 500 wheel range. The car WILL BE RACED. AutoX, Drag, Road Course. U name it its gonna do it. Drift as well. So far ive come up with the ACT Prolite with the extreme Plate along with the 6 puck sprung. I want to know as well... ACT says u gotta use their counterweight. They have 2 diffrent part numbers and no descriptions. I have and old FC auto counterweight laying round and was wondering if i could use it. Also ive heard some horror stories bout Spec clutches. so im leaning towards ACT ive never had ne problems with them. I mean if i had 2k laying around im sure i could find a nice exedy or OS giken multiplate but hey im just an auto tech... lol So anyway Please fire away. I want to hear these horror stories and i wanna hear the great stories. Thanks in advance.

ive had a spec stage 3 for about 5000 miles or so with the act prolight flywheel and act counterweight. IMO i think that the clutch has just gotten a bad rep on here, its a very nice clutch and it is holding very well so far.

I have an ACT Prolite Flywheel with ACT Counterweight and the 6 Puk sprung hub stage 3 disc & heavy duty pressure plate. Pretty awesome setup if you can't afford the likes of the HKS Hiper, OS Giken & Exedy multiplate stuff

Ive driven a Spec stage 3 6 puck clutch for about 20k miles till my engine blew. The clutch grabbed very hard and held my power fine. There were bad things about it though, there was no slipping at all and it was very hard on my drivetrain. I would not get it again for a street car unless I was pushing 500+ HP.

Can anyone comment on Exedy stage 1? Im about to put that into my car.

I have the ACT 6 puck sprung and ACT Xtreme PP with the stock flywheel and I like it alot. I'm only making ~340whp but it grabs strong no matter what I throw at it. People complain about how stiff it is but I dont see any problems with it at all to be honest, I DD and Auto-X the car and have no complaints so far whatsoever unless I'm in traffic of course.
