I'm having the same problem. I look at the power fc and the CLT sensor isn't lighting up. I look at the switch and press in the clutch and it looks like the prong isn't coming out. I pull on it to extend the prong and the sensor turns on the power fc. Is there a way to bypass it without splicing wires?

I get the clicking sound, I've replace the starter, the ignition switch, and I fixed the clutch switch just now. The sensor registers on the power fc now. The CLT and the STR sensors both activate when I try to start the car. All I hear is that damn click click click sound everytime I try to start it. Before it used to start every once in a while. When I changed the starter...it wouldn't start only click click...I took out ignition switch and cleaned the contacts, put it back in and it starts, but I bought one off the forum just in case. It crapped out on me yesterday, so I put in the ignition switch I just recieved today, now its doing the click click thing again. It seems like everytime I change the part, it goes in lock down mod and won't let the car start. Once it starts once it usually starts, but when I put the new part on it goes back to square one again. Is there anyway I can diable my stock security system altogther? I also have a turbo timer...I thought it might be that, but the car acts the same when its disconnected or not.

The one that extends when you push the clutch in is not part of the start circuit. That one can easily be fixed with the spring out of a ball point pen. Remove the switch and pry the tabs open. Once in there you will see what needs to be done. I just did this 2 weeks ago and its a 30 minute job or less.
There is another switch below the pedal that is pressed in when the clutch is all the way to the floor. Thats the one that allows the car to start when the clutch is pushed in.
Are you certain the battery is charged enough? If its not getting enough voltage you may get the click, but it wont turn over. Also check the battery cables for corrosion. This can increase resistance so you dont get enough amps to crank.

Ok, update. I got a friend to give me a jump...it started after second click. It now starts everytime. Every now and then it'll take two clicks to start but it starts. I don't understand. I don't trust my car right now to start every time. I'm going to have to install a relay or a push button start...I'm tired of the guessing game aka russian roulet with wheather the car will start or not.
