clunking from front end?
Anyone know what would cause a clunking in the front driver side during slow turns and braking? I've done a search and seen sway bar bushings mentioned-any other likely causes? The car has 160k miles on it so I assume something is just worn out I couldn't feel anything that seemed real loose when I jacked the car up to look around. The steering also feels slightly loose on the highway, but not too bad. I assume this is also related to some worn bushings. I plan to replace all the bushings in the future, but for now I just want to fix the clunking. Thanks for any input.

On my 85 the bushings in the front end just needed to be tightened. Then that stopped all noises. I hear the same thing in my FD I just got so I'll take it in and have them do that or just replace then with engergy suspension.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure it is the bushings, I was hoping to only have to replace whichever ones were the culprit though, but considering the cars mileage a whole new set is probably in order anyway
