Clipped Turbine Wheels for the twins?

I was searching online for upgrades to the stock twins. And came across a set of Hitachi H12 clipped turbine wheels with the option of 5, 10, or 15 degree clip. Is this a real advantage? How hard is it to install (obviously have to pull the turbos & open them up etc) Does it offer a real horsepower increase? thanks

You would have to sind your stock impeller wheels off with your new clipped turbine wheels to Turbo City or another turbo shop to have them ballanced. Also if you broke the oil seal in the rear when removing the turbines you would have to replace or try to find a rebuild kit. If you have a pair of working twins you should leave them alone. However, you could by a set with distroyed turbine wheels for cheap and try it out.

Not worth messing with the stock twins. Either put on a known good set, get 99 twins or bnrs, or upgrade to a single. I had some twins from SR motorsports years ago that supposedly were clipped but I noticed zero difference.
