Stick my wideband in

I know there are numerous discussions about wideband placement (even on the Innovate site). I have searched and have gotten a decent feel for what will work.

What I am asking here is NOT "what do you think is the right distance?" What I am asking is:

"Would you stick it in the current bung if this was your car." Yay or nay is fine.

Not if I wanted accuracy or sensor longevity.

Otherwise, yes.

I really don't understand your post...

Your not asking where it should go... i guess because you know, but your asking if other people would put their wideband in the current bung and then you have a tape measure there.

Can you explain?

Good enough for me. I had already planned it for installation 3 inches from the end of the downpipe (traced the bung position with a sharpie) and tested the route through the shifter console. However, this way required hacking the cover and just seemed so unclean in general so I wanted a bit of push not to do the easier way. That bung is not close like the stock location but not exactly that far either so I just wanted to see if anybody out there would want to argue for it.

In the end however, I think this thread's usefulness falls somewhere in between:

"Hey, I'm 17 and have no job. Do you think I should get an FD meow meow?"

and

"Meow meow, I heard RX-7's aren't that reliable. Should I get one meow meow?"
