Does anyone know how to clear the codes in our cars with out the computer. The reasion why is b/c i have to take my car to mazda and they may not cover it if they see i have redlined my car(only did it once when i was racing a vette), so you see my problem.

Thanks

First of all, the FD does not have an OBD-II black box that records vehicle info -- not that those work the way you seem to fear.

Secondly, you mean you've only redlined the car once? Why even bother owning it? There is nothing wrong with driving the car within it's operation limits. How do you still have a warranty with Mazda?

It's okay to hear the rev limiter once in awhile for a sec or two,, keeps the carbon cleared out!

Oh, I'm sorry, MAZDA put in your new motor.

If you've got an oil leak, take it back and have them fix it. I don't understand why you are afraid of diagnostic codes. How would an oil leak generate a Code anyway?

EDIT: Where do you live? Maybe you live by a shop that actually knows these cars.

To clear the check engine codes ,disconnect the neg battery cable, then press the brake down for 15 seconds .Reconnect the battery cable .
