cleaning out carbon build up

ok I know taking the car on the highway and doing a third gear pull to red line is a good way to clean the car out of carbon, I did this and there was a pretty hefty cloud behind me. but I was wondering if there was any other way to clean the carbon out than by running the car hard? I know there is the water injection too but are those the only options here, I would think there would be something else, anyone got any info I have searched thanks

Don't be scared to drive the car hard, it'll take it. Just don't let it overheat.

well I premix also sorry I forgot to mention that, but to be honest I know how fast the car is and am willing to admit that it's fast so I don't really drive the **** out of it cuz I am still not quite used to the power, and also I am not used to taking the RPMs all the way to 7.5 8K rpms, it just feels weird to me and I get nervous, but I also get nervous that I drive it too soft most of the time building up all this carbon this is going to cost me a rebuild sooner than I would like haha, I guess I just need to get it out to the track every once in awhile, oh yeah and my temps when driving have never gotten above 92C WOT or not, I usually see 84-87C on the PFC

just give it some hell Only way to get used to the power is to use it. Don't worry about reving the car out, it'll take it all damn day as long as it stays cool. Believe me, the car will start throwing belts before it does any internal damage at 8k rpm, you have nothing to worry about.

But yes, driving it like a wimp will cause carbon build-up.
