CJ dual pump setup
Alright guys I need some assistance I bought my FD with the CJ motorsports dual pump hanger with one walbro 450 pump installed and another in a box to plug in when break in is done and being retuned, well time is here and I’m getting the car ready for tuner and big numbers. What’s the process to get that second pump installed? I have the little install kit with the pump, CJs website says it’s highly recommended to “ stage “ the pumps I have no idea what to do for that or if it’s actually needed. I’m assuming a second relay for the pumps but how do I Control that, I doubt the PFC can do it, what would you guys do, I’ve only ever dealt with large in lines not intank. Can anyone help me out?

I think the only way the pumps can be staged is with a Haltech or something. PFC can't do it, you would need a special output to set that up.
I would probably be using 2 external relays, one for each pump. Just let both pumps run all the time.
You may get some better answers on this, I've not personally done it. May also want to try the single turbo forum.

Ive seen this done with a Hobbs switch as well, I guess my next question is I’ve also seen a lot of people just do a Tee In the hanger and run both pumps full time, I have quite a large AN fuel line and return so wouldn’t it be just fine running a Tee and being done with it? Make sure the pumps have a very hefty gauge wire and leave it the way it is?? Do you think staging the pumps with a Hobbs has any true benefit or that it’s necessary?
