Chromolly Roll Bar/Cage

I searched, but found nothing. Maybe a couple of you forum veterans might know of a thread??? Anyways, just like the title says, I'm looking for information on chromolly roll bars and roll cages for the FD. If anyone has any information or links, I would greatly appreciate it/them. Thanks a lot,

Craig

P.S. I hope I didn't spell chromolly wrong, if I did, please let me know.

Mahjik, do you know if there is a difference between Chrome Moly and Chromoly because that Chassis Engineering site I went to spells it the first way...Thanks a lot,

Craig

Autopower and Kirk both also make Chromoly bars, I have an Autopower one myself I got on a group buy here and picked it up in San Diego.

The forum search function isn't working right now.

There are issues with both the autopower and kirk roll bars that you should be aware of, more so with the autopower bar. You can read some info at http://www.fd3s.net/roll_cage.html

It's unfortunate that M2 went under, because their roll bars were a great design.

I'm not a Material Engineer, but as far as I can research they are the same thing. Just two ways of representing "Chromium Molybdenum".

Take a look at this.

http://www.rxecret7.com/cus6poinrolc.html

I couldn't find it on the Cusco US importers site though. I know they just changed their site, so it may not be completly updated yet.

www.napsusa.com

I know Cusco generly makes really good stuff. I've never seen a Cusco roll cage for and RX-7 though. A frined of mine had a Cusco roll cage in his Nissan S-13 and it seemed like very high quality. His was a bolt in, and I know a lot of people don't think bolt in roll cages will do thier job.
