It is a Apexi Power FC, ECU to control your car..so you can do a lot of mods without blowing your motor up...

the thing you need most obviously. if you need tires get those. or a paint job get that. or just ask for some cash or a gift certificate to your local shop! that would be the best i think, b/c then you wont be disappointed. and isnt that what christmas is all about, avoiding disappointment (sigh, whimper)!?

Driving school. Being that being able to drive this car was up to your parents, I doubt they want it trashed.

what mods does it already have? bone stock?

intake, dp, catback if you already have some decent tires on it. Power FC would be nice but if your stock there are pleanty of things you can do before needing a PFC.

Maybe start a new engine fund

Stephen

i dont want a 11 sec car(at least not yet). the idea of intake and down pipe sounds good. things like that....and how much does one of the pfc's cost anyway? im going to be working over the summers for the next 4 years to just pay off the car (loan from the mom), so i cant put big big money into it now...

like i said, thanks guys and keep the threads comming. bobby

Don't waste your time with speakers especially if you have a touring (Bose-equipped) car. If your Bose stuff is working, leave it that way. You will not find a more balanced speaker for the front without spending more than $1,000 to do it right (amplifier, new head unit, installed properly with dynamat). If you have a base or R1, the sound installation is much easier. Still, if I were you, I would worry about reliability and basic performance first.

Downpipe - Don't know which brand
Catback - I agree with ijneb, get the Racing Beat Dual Tip
Intake - It sounds like AdamC's cheap bastard mod works well and is...cheap!
Boost Gauge - So you know what's going on

Those mods will make a noticeable increase in power and reliability, and purchase and installation should be under $1,000.

Good luck! Remember, never drive her hard until she's fully warmed up!

JAH MON!!! get the reliablitiy mods done first. an Aluminum AST($125 from Pettit) and a Down Pipe ($275 HKS). if you're going to do the DP yourself... get the HKS... you'll thank me later for recommending it.
