Chin Spolier Fitment??

Does the 99 spec chin spoiler on rx7store.net fit both the USDM and 99 JDM front bumpers. I was thinking about going to the 99 front bumper, but cant afford it right now so I thought to just get the chin spoiler. So as to not end up having to buy to buy to different chins, will it fit on both?

It will bolt up, but doesn't fit properly to the '93-95 bumper. Search around, there's pics of the fitment - it doesn't look terrible, but it definitely doesn't line up right.

^Agreed Adam, you car, and the spoiler look very nice.
But nearly all the 99 specs that I've seen have some minor fitment problems, generally at the wheel-well and to a lesser extent, at the opening of the brake ducts. You may have a little advantage, having a black car and black spoiler, the fitment issues aren't going to be as apparent.

Mine fit up perfect with my FD. The main problem is that the holes don't all match up to the 93' bumper. I just drilled extra holes and it was perfect.

thanks a lot for the compliments guys.
Jim you are right there usually is some fitment problems at the wheel well where it sticks back a bit to far. the advantage I had was that i resprayed my front bumper (stupid opossum) and while the bumper was off we mounted the front lip. In doing this we kind of pulled the bumper around a bit and pulled the lip up and suprisingly it made a huge difference the lip hardly has any fitment issues at this point. but not everybody has the oppurtunity to do that.

Here's an alternative from Shine Auto. It's a Mazdaspeed replica that was $150.

+1 to 99spec lip fits

just the most outside hole on each end will needs to be re-drilled for perfect fitment. you're basically bending in the sides in a slight bit so they don't stick out... that's what happens if you use all the original holes to fit on OEM bumper.. but they still fit. here's mine before i wiped on some mother's back to black..
