EGR sensor?
i'm lookin at this 94 to purchase, and the check engine light stays on. the owner has told me the reason is due to the EGR sensor not being plugged in to anything. he has put on aftermarket intakes in place of the stock air box (when i open the hood, there appears to be 2 short-air looking intake filters). he says the 93 rx7's did not even have the EGR sensor and that it is not a real problem on his 94. what do you guys know about this? how can the check engine light be fixed? or is there some way to correctly hook up the EGR sensor?

Get a EGR sensor and plug it in ( California model ) or search for the method to replace it with a relay and resistor .To get rid of the code in the ECU ,dicconnect the neg battery cable and press the brake down for 15 seconds . A new EGR with the switch in it cost about $ 160 several years ago .I think I have a used one .The relay -resistor method will be cheaper .
