check engine light + loss of power

My check engine light comes on and off periodically. It doesnt run rough. I also loose lots of power but according to my boost gauge i pull 10 for the first turbo then when the 2nd one hits it drops off to around 5 psi. Hose blown off?? Sloenoid?? Any thoughts?

Ice - I just had a similar problem.

Check out my thread here. Turned out the Check engine lights were due to the TPS.

Why do people continually talk about taking these car's to dealers?
Like 75% of this forum has horror stories about dealership service, one would think that would be a sign to some.

Mine used to do something similar. It would run extremely rich and bog out with a lot of loss of power. The check engine light would come on usually when it happened. Mine was the thermo sensor on the back of the water neck. I checked it and the sensor itself wassn't even bad, I just had a loose connection on the wire to it. It was an easy fix.

I agree though, the easiest way to check it is to get an engine check code. That's how i sourced my problem with mine.
