I am of the opinion you get what you pay for. I got a downpipe from ebay for my FD and the fitment is terrible. It was a waste of money. I am having to buy another one that fits better. If you are interested I have an extra SR motorsports SMIC sitting around if you want it. It is new $499. http://www.srmotorsports.com/sr93intr.html

Ebay:
While i might buy an intercooler from ebay, I won't ever trust their couplers or clamps. Let's just say that quality parts are far cheaper in the long run than high blood pressure.

It's defiantly a greddy knock off. I would expect it to work, price is not bad at all. Great upgrade to the stock intercooler, I would buy it and try it out if I still had the stock ic with twins.

ebay intercoolers: very little pressure drop, very little efficiency. The inside fin density is very low and the turbulators are laughable. Similar to bolting a straight pipe in place of your current intercooler.

I would search for a SMIC on this forum. Mine might be out of your price range but it is new. If you look hard enough you can find someone with a used one.

Personally I like my car too much to risk putting some knockoff critical part like an intercooler in it. If you want to go the ebay route then spend a few extra bucks and put a real greddy intercooler in:
ebay
If you already have a downpipe and catback exhaust or a high flow intake you better consider replacing the ECU at the same time with an apexi powerfc or equivalent if you don't want to blow your engine.

cheap+FD = "FD Roller For Sale! Many Extras"
do it once, do it right -save up and buy a well engineered & tested intercooler, you can find them used for 500 bucks in the FS section. Til then, keep the stocker.
