If you've got another 4k to pay for the body work go for it. If you only have 5k and just want the FD and expect to piece together the money to have the body work done later on then steer clear.

the current owner is obviously ******* stupid, buy it from him and save an rx7, get better pics of the car too. If that's a standard 99 spec front bumper (which is what it looks like) I may be willing to trade you straight for my stock one if you get it painted BB. I would consider trading you straight for that hood too.

Like I said earlier I got the body work covered. My friend is going to do it and its gonna cost me like 800 plus materials to get the car painted. I am gonna buy this car. I plan on going to get it today if possible. He says it runs and drives fine so I'm gonna test drive it before money is exchanged. I also plan on offering him $4k in cash because he told me cash talks so we'll see.

Odd. In my area (which is decidedly expensive) if its just bolting on pieces and prep/painting 4k will get you respectable work unless its a metallic flake.

did you end up getting this car? i got my 93 montego blue for 5.5k back in november. the body is in really good condition but needs paint bad. the interior is in ok condition but not great. rebuilt motor and turbos with about 35k miles on them now. powerfc (steven kan tuned), 3in exhaust from turbo back. apexi intakes. all alum rad, silicone vac lines etc. if that helps you make ur decision at all.

The guy backed out of selling the car. He decided he wanted it for his own dream car or something. I even offered him 8k and he didnt go for it. I'm a little sad but oh well I guess I'll have to find another one. Thanks for all the input fellas
