chattering in reverse when car is cold
Everytime I start my car (when its cold, and i go to back out of a parking spot, etc. it chatters bad in reverse. Its a stock clutch. What could cause this? The clutch was replaced about 1 year ago the clutch is still strong (it breaks the tires loose and I have 18s) what could the problem be?
thanks...

Does it only do this in reverse? Or other gears aswell? When my car is cold and I take it for a drive I always have a problem with the transition from 1st to 2nd, so i just go from 1st to nuetral then to 2nd gear. After it's all warmed up everything is smooth. Maybe try that?

Yeah mine does that too. Sometimes it grinds into second when its cold. I have to do the same thing as you. Hey, but at least we don't have any of those "grandma automatic 7's."

sold the FD...kept the FB
mine does it in 1st and in reverse. It is the worst when the car is cold. I blame a posible combination of things: posible warped clutch disc, worn motor mounts, and my light (9.5lb) flywheel.
