charge control actuator probs need advice

i have narrowed my primary turbo prob down to the charge control actuator .the actuator rod stays out thus primary turbo output is lost to the secondary etc. wat is causing this are there any more tests i can do to narrow the problem down .it worked properly for the last week then started doin it again and wen it isnt working properly sometimes wen started it runs like **** and wont rev coughing and spluttering

maybe your charge control soleniod has gone bad or is not working properly. its under the uim and in the rats nest. i'd check the vac lines going to the charge control soloniod also.

i live in nth qld australia and it is hard 2 get parts is there any way of narrowing this down and no one knows late model 13brew so this site is my mechanic

Well, first off follow the hoses on the actuator and check that none are loose.

Second, after running the car, disconnect the pressure tank and vacuum tank. If you don't hear a rush of air at each one, you know you have a leak.

If the first two don't set you off to solve the problem, buy yourself a Mityvac pressure/vacuum pump. This will allow you to dig in and test all the components separately - the solenoids, the actuators, the check valves.

UIM = Upper Intake Manifold, or plenum in Britsh English if you prefer.

i traced the vac lines from vac chamber to a multi port thing up under the uim and to turbos all look good
