Question changing my 94 to 99+ jspec electronics

HELP!!!!

Well heres the deal.. my guy in Japan.. hes got a wercked 99 + rx7 .. i want the guage cluster so i asked him how much and he said the wireing and the ercu is different and that id need to change them too and swap over "every wire in the car" to avoid mapping ect.. now since my cars striped down the the chassis anyways ,.. im up for the chalenge..

But .. i need to know what i would really need. now.. fromn what i understand .. and what makes me wanna do this even more is the Ecu is 32 bit . so now i want the ecu and guage custer... making me think yes now for ease sakes get the wire harness..

now what do u guys think i need to use the 99+ ECU and guage cluster in a US spec 94.. ???

and if anyones got what i need for sale hook me up ..

gimmie ur thoughts ..

Thanks

PAUL

Dood, forget the 99 ECU, just get a standalone unit. I'm sure the 99 ECU will cost you atleast $500, which is like half the cost of PFC. This might also make the conversion a little easier.

The 99 ECU is 16 bit, you're 94 is 8 bit. As someone else said, you should just go with the PFC, it's 16 bit and you can tune with it.

One more thing: if you live in the U.S., then don't you need to adjust for the difference in gas between Japan and the U.S.? If you can use the PFC with the new ECU and adjust the PFC to account for the gas...

Seems like a lot of ifs and a lot of work for the gauge cluster...
