Change Oil after Dyno run ?
Hi Guys,
I 've just changed the engine oil and i am now going to setup my Apexi ecu on a dyno due to some minor performance upgrades. Due to the stress put on the engine (high oil temps) during the dyno runs to setup the ecu, do i have to do an oil change? I am going for a Track day in a weeks time too.
Thanks in advance!
Ken

how long were you on the dyno? oil temps may have gotten pretty high depending on how good the cooling fans were. You are mostl likely fine, but like Qwik said if you are concerned just change the oil only filter will be fine. My guess is if you are asking you are going to worry about it, so go buy a jug of castrol and change it out and sleep well.

^^ THanks Guys. I guess i'll change the oil just to put my mind at rest as blue87 suggested. The will be doing roughly an hour or two on the dyno.
I use Motul mineral oil. Its not cheap but i find it good (at least for now)
