Question Change Fuel Line, Do I need a check valve?

Hi, I just change the fuel line of my rex, I put a number 6 braided fuel line. The car works fine, the only thing i noticed was on the fuel pressure gauge. With the old line the fuel press will remain on 2.5 bars if I opened the switch to the on position, after the car has been warmed up. With the new line when I put the switch to the on position the fuel gauge will read 0 bars. There is no leak or anything. The cars runs fine it holds the pressure when is running. The only thing I am worried about is this. Do I need a check valve to hold the pressure???? HELP??????
