Best Fuel pump to work with Pettit ecu?
Best Fuel pump to work with Pettit ecu?
Hi Guys...
The new years project to upgrade the fuel system. I 've
been running about 14 pds of boost on the Pettit ecu for about
3 yrs now. And have not had any problems.
I wanted to know what is the best fuel pump to get...?
I did not want a pump that makes the car run too rich...especially
at idle.
I saw one the Rotary performance site. They have one that will
work with upgraded ecu's. And it can suport up too 500 hp.
Anybody using this? Any suggestions as to which one to get?
I plan on a new fuel pump and maybe a fuel pressure regulator
for the new year hoping to get another pd of boost more safely.
I know that I might have to upgrade or add additional injectors
as well. thanks for the recommedations... jc.

I've read on here from a few people that a high flow pump will make the car run rich....why? think about it, the computer doesn't know you just installed a new kick *** pump, so it blindly tells the thing to stay on for the same period and the higher pressure produces slightly increased flow through the injectors at the same duty cycle
the stock pump and regulator is fine up to 13 (max 14 psi) after that you need bigger injectors, upgraded fuel system, and stand-alone....just a pump isn't going to cut-it
