Changable Idle/Vacuum/Boost

WTF?!
ok, don't get me wrong... this isn't just something that happens all the time... let me tell the story.

the other night (and again this morning) i got stuck in bumper to bumper traffic in my FD - she ran great and strong until, all of a sudden, she started idling at 1,200rpm and vacuum dropped at idle by about 20% and she got a bit rough.
when this happens, the boost patterns still runs as normal but it doesn't seem to have any pull at all.

any idea whats is going on? i have a feeling it might be grounding issues but that wouldn't explain the boost or vacuum would it?

oh, forgot to mention - when i shut the key off and then turn back on... seems to hold vaccum just fine.

a lot of these symptoms sound like AWS to me?!

so nobody has any idea on this?
i've searched and come up blank... there can't be any way that my car is getting so cool it goes back to AWS - that makes no sense.
