Center tail light different black than 99 spec

Just got 99spec tails (only the LH and RH) not the center. The black is a little lighter on the center piece compared to the 99spec.

might be fading? or.... they are different. thoughts?

Probably just faded, use some metal polish to bring them back to light. Or if you know how to use tripoli or white rogue, use that - use them only on plastic or metal obviously.

I always thought the efini center tail light was different but I think I've been proven wrong. If someone else would like to chime in that would be great.

rhdjapan has a 99+ light here...

Here is an efini car

Lets find a 93-95 car to compare.

I know a guy who used Meguiars PlastX and some Amway product with a buffer to fix his scratched taillights and they now look like brand new. Not sure if it'll help with fading but won't hurt to have them glossier. The difference with 99 tails will be less noticeable imo.

FD01-50-850D is the part number for the entire assembly and was used throughout many years.

Circles on the converted one are flat with the black frame, oem 99 taillights have the circles sticking out just a tiny bit.

I bought a new 99 center piece just because I couldn't stand the difference in tone hehe. I think its just from sunburn fade and/or being exposed to the elements.
