that would be the airpump hose I assume

I would just leave it sit there because where is the air going to go if you block it off? Before it was going into the cat and out of the exhaust.

I took mine totally off because I removed the air pump and got the blue greddy pulleys.

You can also disconnect the electrical connector to your Air Pump so it's not working but just sitting there in the pully system...actually you could remove it and use a 4row 29.5" belt.

Hey Dragoneer...I am about to remove my airpump and got this info from this forum...Several different members run that belt...I am sure it can be had at any autoparts store.

There are no ill effects from running a 4 rib belt vs 5.
I've been running no Air pump for 2 years now.
If you put the mid pipe on, which you should if you remove your airpump, and you still have the factory ECU, make sure you put a restrictor plate in it. Remember it's the flow of the air through the motor and not just the PSI being limited to 10 or 11 on the factory ECU

Speaking of restrictor plate...I think I am going to make mine soon...How thick does the restrictor need to be...Do you replace the DP gasket with the restrictor or run it side by side?

I have been wanting to dump teh air pump but I just don't know what to do. I have a gutted main cat but the air pump is still there. I would like to do it without getting the pulleys. I have gone to an auto parts store and they can't get me a belt just by size. It has to be of a certian car so they can look it up or be there all day measuring belts. Any one know a car that uses a 29.5" 4 rib belt? About the restrictor plate, I don't have any idea where to add it, is it screwed in or welded? Always been a picture guy.

Usually the last 3 (I think) numbers on the belt part # indicate the length of the belt.

From what I understand it would be screwed in either of the places noted with an R...

[DP] R [MP] R [CB] it's not a picture but it should help

My questions is,
- what do you usually make it out of?
- How thick?
- Does the exhaust gasket sit beside it?
- and what diameter hole (2.75", 2.5", 2") would you start with for my mods?...FMIC, DP, CB, PFC, EYPipe.

Tanx dude...
i do think it is safe to run the stock cat without the airpump... so as long you plug the hole!! mine, i disconnect all the pipe, coming to the LIM and going to the cat... cover the holes with a BOP...

Sorry but it's very UNSAFE to have the stock or highflow main cat and not having the air pump dumping in air. My friend had his highflow cat with an air pump that was leaking air and genreally not working. 3 weeks later it exploded from clogging. He got it gutted.

Go to Autozone and see if they have one of the following belts.

Kelly/Springfield
295k5- 5 Ribs
295k4- 4 Ribs

Goodyear Gatorback
4050295- 5 Ribs
4040295- 4ribs

Those are the part numbers so they should not need to look anything up besides checking inventory.
