Cat Back Question
I currently have the Apexi N1 Dual on my car. It is WAY too loud.
What is a good exhaust that will be considerably quieter but not kill much horsepower?

I have the same one and was also thinking that it's too loud
not for me but for everyone that is near my car when I am driving it. I don't want to annoy people with the sound. Aren't there silencers that we can buy for it?
That would be much easier I would think and you can take them on and off when you want the car to be faster.
I know they have them for the n1 single tip

on the single tip n1 it says without the silencer the noise level is rated as 6 and with silencer it moves it down to a 4....
BTW where is the viper video?
I used to think my dads viper was fast as all hell and then I got my rx7 and added mods and raised the boost a little and when I get back into the viper I am totally used to the speed. Sometimes I even think like damn this car is slow haha but it's still fast

I have a straight through exhaust with the N1 dual catback. With the silencers in I find it to be very tolerable. You can get them for $50per at the RX-7 store. The sound is a little on the raspy side, almost chainsaw like at high rpm WOT. But it is quiet enough to be civil when you want to go easy. What makes them real nice is on days that I feel like being obnoxious I just pull them out and go free-flow.

Before you waste money on buying a new exhaust or some silencers you should look into adding a Borla XR-1 to your mp. It will be cheaper, easier and bringthe noise down more.

Installed the Borla XR-1 today. What a difference. I can actually talk on my cell phone while going down the road now!
I recommend it to anyone wanting to reduce the noise level of their 7.
Thanks for the advice guys.

Hey Roy,
thats a big relief.
I was worried that the xr-1 wouldnt cut it with my dual n1 and to4r going in.
Did you get the xr-1 with the 3 chambers inside it? The "race" model?
Also, is it nice and quiet at idle?
When does it get really noisy? 3000rpm +?
Sorry for all the questions
haha
