That is gross weight, or that is the weight that your state assigns to the car for tax purposes.

Actual weights of stock cars is in the 2825-2950 range

Oh no! You bought the real heavy addition model with lead door panels and the concrete wheels...

LOL at Michel.....

I weighed mine a few times over the course of a few years on the vehicle scale at Fort Hood, which is calibrated pretty damn well due to deployments and HMMWVs (hummers) loaded on boats.

Right at about 2700 pounds with half a tank of gas. Credit most of the weight reduction to straight exhaust.

Most of the official weights I've seen say 2900 to 3100 lbs, but every forum member who weighs their car comes out with 2700-2800.

I've never heard of a 3000lb FD.

With a car as light as a FD the amount of gas in the car can end up making 100+lb difference in weight.

I've had a bunch of FDs and weighed them all on the same official truck scale.

Base models are the lightest, weighing in under 2800lbs very consistantly. Depending on the amount of fuel I had in the cars they weighed 2740-2780lbs

R1s have a couple extra parts, extra oil cooler, spoilers, strut brace. They weigh in only a few lbs heavier, 2760-2800lbs. I weighed mine at an SCCA event FULL of fuel. It came in at 2796lbs. I've got a couple mods that lighten the car and a couple that make it heavier (springs, front bar, rear seat, cruise, factory CD player) and M2 IC.

Tourings are the heaviest models. Auto tranny tourings are the worst of the bunch. 2800-2900lb depending on trans and year. A friend of mine with a 94 Touring with nearly the EXACT mods (different brand SMIC) I have on my R1 weighed his at the same SCCA event and it came in slightly over 2900lbs. I recall the exact difference being 116lbs between our two cars. This was surprising to me. 94-95 FDs weigh slightly more than 93, 20lbs worth the 94 Touring's glass sunroof is probably good for 5lbs or so by itself vs. steel. I think the auto tranny is a 50-70lb penalty.

There are PEG and PEP models in 94 and 95, they'll be lighter than the 94 Touring I refer to, but probably equal to or lighter than a 93 Touring.

Did we kill that subject?

Flying J truck stop weigh scales. Even gives fr/rr weight biases. Empty mine weighs 2750 lbs with a full tank of gas. Good thing the car is light, cuz the driver isn't!

Mine is very close to 2700 with 1/2 tank. Base, with strut bar, spoiler, body kit, no cats. or airpump, small battery, cruise, and with HKS Superdragger (and it does drag). Also has spare tire and jack.

Mine weighs 2715 as it is right now with 1/2 tank of gas. No cats, frontmount intercooler, lightweight seats, 4-point roll bar, etc. I am very pleased with this weight considering the weight of the roll bar (all SS welded). With my sound system in it weighs 2895. HAHA
