I think it is kind of stupid for you not to have an idea of what it cost. Think of it this way, how long did it take you to do compared to other projects? How much did materials cost you? How much does it cost you to pay the other person? Figure it out and post a cost.

I think your work is awesome and since you are nearby to me I would think of going to you first. I said those things above so that you can make money and not get burned. And at least charge a deposit, at least materials and the remainding balance would be your labor. And if you are offering a service and charging, read the vendor rules.

Actually I was going to make a mold of my dash this summer if anyone is intrested. It would be an FRP mold, seeing as hwo that would be the cheapest and quickest way around. This will require me to pretty much destory the stock dash with fiberglass to smooth it out first and then create a mold from the smoothened piece. I was also thinking baout altering the style of the dash to something more modern and better looking, a bit more of an update and a laptop compartment near the drives glove box, an Ipod holde ror somehting of the sort maybe for those you with Ipods. and gauge clusters all around. As far as AC vents go...I dunno This would be a pure carbon dash no Bs overlays. Though it would be quite costly to get a large roll or graphite like that. ESPECILLAY with the Carbon and kevlar shortage as of lately. I've called a ton of suppliers and they said things shoudl get back to normal by april or so. SO we will see. If this mold works out I will offer it in fiberglass as well and painted to customer spec.

ok, there alot of questions to be answered. if i miss something just post again..

this carbon fiber dash is a wet overlay, sort of like a cover but it will never come off and is 100% real carbon fiber using the best of materials.

i am not a company, i do this work in my garage after my day job. i dont do it everyday unless im have parts to work on. pretty much just doing it for freinds

going by past jobs i want atleast 900$ for a dash if you supply the dash. in this case im suppling the dash so about 1,200$ shipped.

your more then welcome to come by and see our work, drop off and pick up your parts.

to make a solid CF dash would be a ton of money and probably not worth it unless its a track car, even then it would be better to just take the whole thing out and leave it out.

the prices of raw carbon fiber have almost doubled in price since i first started 3 years ago and not once did our prices go up, in fact they went down.

we have never re-located any controls like the a/c or anything like that but we can do it. we work with fiberglass as well but not as much as CF.

we dont usually make molds because it just cost to much money for us and the customer and its not really worth the weight lose if any at all, EXAMPLE shift console

i seen a post above talking about brake ducts, sure we can make then but i need to know what they look like maybe even have the originals

hope that covered most of everones questions

Ok, what is the point of carbon fiber dash or other interior panels? Carbon fiber is a lightweight replacement for structural steel. Drive shafts, intakes, PPF, etc.
Dash? Waste of an expensive material for esthetics.
