Car won't turn off?

Hi all, I have a 93 Rx7 that's been sitting in the garage for the past couple of years.
It used to run fine and turn off like it's supposed to, but when I recently tried to turn it off, the engine continued to run even with the key removed and I also tried pulling the BTN fuse with the key in the off position.
I was able to turn if off by dumping the clutch when the key was out, but does anyone know why this is happening?

Any hints help with this matter.
Thanks in advance!

With the switch unseated and the car running, get a flat-head screwdriver and turn the switch off.

If that doesn’t turn the car off, you need a new switch, or somehow there’s a mechanical failure in the key barrel, or there’s a turbo timer on the car you were unaware of.
