Question Car wont turn off?

Hey, so intermittently the car fails to turn off when the key is removed. As i was installing the coilovers, i noticed it would turn on, like the key was turned to accessories, without me in it, or messing with anything. What should i check?

Mods are just a PFC as far as i know electrically, stereo, and keyless entry added by previous owner.

haha, i've thought about that. nothing like the hood up, working in the drivers wheel well, and all of a sudden the fans kick on, and the car starts beeping like i'm about to start it.

Sounds like a bad ignition switch. I would start with testing that. I would also check the keyless entry system. I have seen people do some nasty wiring on those.

I wouldn't rule out the ignition switch, but they usually fail the other way. Won't turn on...

The vast majority of "ghosts" I've chased are caused by aftermarket accessory installations or faulty repairs.

I always start with aftermarket accessories.

went through that on my first motorcycle... fool put aftermarket lights back there, and just twisted/ taped them... my dad caught it one night while we were riding, i had no lights! How i didn't get ran down, i have no idea. Took 3 days of testing and building a schematic to fix it. Hate shadetree mechanics :S
