car wont start after battery relocation

i have relocated my battery to the boot i ran a positive cable from the back battery and attached it to the battery terminal at the front, i earthed the rear battery, and when i tried to start the car it wouldnt turn over and the alarm went off (which is a clifford).
any ideas????

did you ground the wire in the engine bay that was attached to the battery - before?And remove the old + cable? and did you go thru the firewall? if so did you use a grommet to protect the wire from tearing.

check connections. When mine did that it was just a dead battery and everytime i tried to start it after we jumped it my alarm went off.

i have not grounded the - cable. and i just ran the + cable off the old one so i didnt remove it.

you need to ground it. I grounded mine in the trunk, that way you don't have to run unnecessary wires all the way up front.

i have grounded the rear battery in the trunk i just havent grounded the existing - cable in the engine bay

Does the clifford incorporate any ignition disabling system? It still doesn't make good sense though due to the fact that all you have done is extend and relocate the same circuit.
I would re-trace every inch of the wires that you have run. Check all crimped connections and grounding bolts. ( paint not removed and such)
Also make sure that the battery teminals are tight.

As a last resort, try dis-connecting the clifford system to see if that is playing a role in the problem.

Unfortunaetly electrical issues are hard to diagnose over the internet

FWIW: Did you do anything else to the car at the same time as the re-location?
