do your windows work when you cut the key on? If fuse B2 under the hood blows you cant start the car and the windows wont work and something else doesnt work either but i cant remember. Try that and check all youre connections to the battery and check the connection at the starter. Resent development with mine was that the rubber plug that makes contact with the clutch switch feel out so the car thought the clutch pedal wasnt pushed in, just another to check.

1) Try a few times to click the key back and forth - if that works you probably have corrosion in the ignition switch itself (theres a write up somewhere about it)
2) Check to make sure no wires got messed up on the starter, I had a rock knock a wire off mine once and it did the same thing
Probably one of those 2 if all fuses are ok

You could always pull the battery and have it checked at Autozone or another parts store. May have died on you, mine did after work one day, stranding me there till I got a jump. Have you tried jumping the car to see if it would start? I've also had the ground on the battery come loose, which immediately killed the car. There was enough contact for the lights, which were dim, but not enough to crank.

I think I know what's wrong.
First, check your brake pedal lever(not foot pad) and see if you have a hole in it which allows a switch to stick through while your brake pedal is not depressed.
Then, if so, take some tape and a dime, penny or nickel and tape the coin over the hole in the brake pedal lever so that the switch hits it when the brake pedal is not depressed.
At the same time, either recharge your battery or get a new one if necessary. I needed a new one when this happened since my battery was old and the problem kept my brake lights on all the time even when the car was turned off and my battery got toasted.
Good Luck and let me know if this worked.
