Car won't start...

Okay guys, y'all have been a ton of help in the past, so I figure I'll post here again. Here's my story: My '94 RX-7, completely stock so far, has a small oil leak, coming from the oil pan gasket. Well, before I drove it yesterday I checked oil level, all was great. Drove to work, ran like a charm. Drove home, on the way raced a kid at a few lights, stopped at a gas station a half mile from my house, shut the car off, got gas, and when I went to start, it won't even turn over, won't even try to.
With the key on, I'm not sure what lights are supposed to stay on after a few, but the check engine light stays on, the batt. charge light stays on, the 4w abs light stays on, and the exhaust overheat light stays on. Figuring I drove it a little too hard, I let it sit there for a bit, and the light never went out. I got it home the hard way, pushing it, and now today the exhaust light still stays on and it still won't even try to turn over.
Any ideas/thoughts, things to check?

Thanks

Tom_M

the battery/terminals batt state of charge, bad ignition switch, bad neutral safety switch... your bing rods may be out of adjustment i mean you have not elimanted anything.

Okay, well, the terminals on the battery are clean.. all the lights are bright as ever, so i'm pretty sure the battery is charged.. as for ignition switch... i guess that could be a problem, didn't think it would just die out on me... as for neutral safety switch, don't know what that is.. same with bing rods... HOw do I check all of that? Sorry I'm pretty new.

So the car wont even crank ? I say check your ignition wires under the cover and check your spark plugs. My friend had a problem like this turned out to be the starter he banged the crap outta it and it started right up LOL

K, like I said, lol, I'm pretty stupid... so, here's my questions(no, it doesn't even crank):
1) Where can I get to the starter to bang on it and check wires?
2) What fuses do I need to check?
3) 4 spark plugs right? Any of them hard to get at?
4) Based on what I've said, is there any chance I could've really screwed something up?

Thanks!

double check your battery or try to jump the car with another battery/car
just because it looks ok (connections are clean on the outside/top) and the lights come on does not mean in anyway that its ok or that the connections are good or that your battery might have taken a crap on you and one of the cells are gone. get a volt meter or a battery load tester and check what kinda output its giving you.

the starter is under your car, kinda on the driver side of the tranny bell housing. i hear that banging on it might help but that has never worked for me personnaly.

double check clutch switch and ignition switch.

oh yeah if your doing any kind of work at all to your starter, for god sakes jack up the rear of the car and/or disconnect the battery, if your start is malfunctioning or you accidently touch the hot wire with your wrench and your in gear and the front is only jacked up in the air, you might run yourself over when working on it... (i almost learned this the hard way!)

oh and for the hell of it, check your engine check light codes. it cant hurt.

as for fuses, check them all! check all relays too while your at it.
check the ones inside the cabin, and in the engine bay, do a search or look in your manual.
