There's a pretty good chance that putting new plugs in will cause it to start right up.

It's the weirdest thing... I switched to different plugs (that were actually older than the ones I was using) after trying a bunch of other things and it started right up.

What is it about the FD that ruins plugs (even though you clean/dry/burn them) so quickly in a way that they basically still look OK?

I never had to do any of this with my FC (NA). Even though I only start it every year or two, I can get it started just by messing with the gas pedal.

Thanks Dale
Spark plugs from the dealer cost me $87. However, I'm not 100% sure if dealers in Montreal will give you a discount. I know in Toronto they give a 10-20% discount

These are 9's as well.

That much is obvious; I'm curious why drying them off (or cleaning them, or using a blow torch) seems to not always work even though they look fine.

Rotary is sensitive to have excellent spark. Cleaned plugs that were fouled are nowhere near as good as new plugs.

Sorry guys I never replied after I got it to start. So I did the deflooding procedure except this time with new plugs and it started up right away. Didn't even crank for a second, it just started.
